New York City really does not sleep! There is an abundance of things to do in this city, from sightseeing at Top of the Rock, The Empire State or The Statue of Liberty, to remembering and paying tribute at Ground Zero, to culture experiencing in museums like the Met or the Guggenheim, eating like a local with soup dumplings in Chinatown, pizza in Greenwich Village, and steak-frites in Soho, or walking it all off on the High Line, in Central Park or across Brooklyn Bridge. There are four boroughs beyond Manhattan too; Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx, which are definitely worth visiting.
A city full of history, Washington DC is a place unlike any other. Home of The White House, people come from all over to stand outside and hope to get a glimpse of President Trump. Directly in front of here, The Washington Memorial stands tall to commemorate George Washington, the first President of the United States. Next comes The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool and the Lincoln Memorial itself, which is a marble monument to the 16th president. The Thomas Jefferson Memorial is located nearby and was built in memory of the 3rd president of the US.
Founding Farmers restaurant is a great nearby spot and pays tribute to America’s Founding Farmers in a comical, delicious way.
Boston is one of the oldest cities in the United States but certainly doesn’t look it. There is so much to do and see here. Home to one of the world’s most prestigious universities, Harvard, people come from all over to walk the campus, pretending they were once a student with their boastful merchandise! Fenway Park is home to the Red Sox and you are guaranteed a good time going to one of their games. Newport, Rhode Island is only a short drive away – less than 2 hours – and is a must-see.
The Windy City of America will be sure to blow you away. Trump Tower lies in the middle of the city by the Chicago River where you can rent kayaks and cruise down at your own leisure. Most people start downtown, from the Magnificent Mile, swanky Gold Coast, and jazzy Old Town, not to mention the business-oriented Loop; but there are 77 neighbourhoods to explore, where you’ll find cutting-edge restaurants, chilled-out corner bars, and, no matter where you go, some of the most pleasant people you’ll find anywhere.
Los Angles, California
The city of Angels and the city of the rich and famous really is as flashy as stereotyped, proven on tours of celebrity homes and celebrity life that are among the city’s most popular activities. LA is a city made up of several cities, and visitors have different experiences depending on whether they find themselves in Hollywood, Venice Beach, Santa Monica or Beverly Hills, but it is always an experience to remember.
San Francisco, California
San Francisco is one of the most beautiful cities in America. The city by the bay is scenic and welcoming, with major landmarks and cultural attractions. There are gorgeous Victorian homes known as the Pink Ladies, parks like Mission Dolores Park and stretches of sand, and picture-postcard views, always with the monumental Golden Gate Bridge somewhere nearby as a backdrop.
Philadelphia was the first capital of the nation. However, there is much more to it than just history. There are great museums including the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the children’s First Touch Museum, and restaurants where you’ll be sure to find a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich on the menu.
Wisconsin State Capitol, which sits on a peninsula between lakes Mendota and Monona, is a great student-based city. There are so many things to other than supporting the Badgers at Camp Randall Stadium, which is home to the third-best college American Football team in the country- but be sure to learn the words to Jump Around before you go! Henry Vilas Zoo is a great free destination with global wildlife open to the public and is great for families to visit, as well as Madison Children’s Museum.
The Wisconsin State Capitol located in Madison also takes in a large number of visitors each year, houses both chambers of the Wisconsin legislature along with the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the Office of the Governor.
One of the world’s most popular party destinations, especially for Spring Break. However, it’s a year-round destination that’s worth at least a weekend of your life. Ocean Drive is a hugely popular spot that stretches down the beach full of art and comes alive in the night time, full of luxe hotels for those wanting stylish stays, the same with the neighbourhoods South Beach and Wynwood. The beaches in Miami are also to die for, especially Lummus Park Beach. Located on the eastern side of Ocean Drive, Lummus Park Beach is a perfect destination for people-watching, volleyball, and sunbathing. Walk along the beautiful promenade that separates the grass from the beach and have lunch at one of the many restaurants on the boardwalk.
Aside from skiing in the winter months, Denver is home to many cultural landmarks including Denver Museum of Nature & Science and Denver Art Museum. However, Skiing does account for the greatest number of tourists in this snow-filled city every year from the beginning of November until the beginning of March.
